Employees at KECN recently came together for an energetic and engaging Fun Sports Day, celebrating teamwork, creativity, and connection across the organization. Guided by the theme,“Keep Moving, Life is Exciting!”, the event encouraged employees to step away from their daily routines and enjoy a day filled with movement, collaboration, and friendly competition.

Colleagues from across the facility participated in a variety of activities designed to strengthen relationships and promote wellbeing. Popular events such as tug-of-war, beanbag toss, and basketball shooting brought teams together through laughter, encouragement, and healthy competition.

This year’s Fun Sports Day also featured two unique activities that highlighted both creativity and cultural appreciation. One of the event’s standout experiences was the“Together We Create” collaborative painting activity. Employees worked side by side to contribute to a large sports-themed artwork, adding their own creativity to different sections of the canvas. The completed painting served as a visual representation of teamwork and the collective spirit that defines KECN.

Employees also had the opportunity to participate in a lacquer fan (漆扇) workshop, introducing them to a traditional Chinese intangible cultural heritage craft. While creating their own unique fans, participants learned about the cultural significance of the art form and enjoyed an opportunity for reflection and creativity. The activity provided a meaningful way to connect with local traditions while fostering personal expression.

By bringing employees together through sports, art, and cultural experiences, KECN’s Fun Sports Day reinforced the importance of collaboration, wellbeing, and community.
