This summer, Kimball Electronics Mexico (KEMX) proudly participated in the first-ever Dual Education Exposition held at CETIS 71 high school, engaging with over 500 students eager to learn about real-world training opportunities. The event spotlighted the collaborative efforts between educational institutions and companies like KEMX to bridge academic learning with hands-on experience.
KEMX currently hosts 25 students in its Dual Education Program, which runs from June to September. These high school interns, studying various technical disciplines, spend Monday through Thursday working at KEMX and attend regular classes on Fridays. This structure offers a rich experiential learning environment that prepares students for future careers.
During the expo, student Yoseline G. shared how KEMX helped her adapt to the professional environment, emphasizing the supportive teamwork and mentorship she received. Kimball employees also took the stage to discuss the program's benefits. Arlette Santamaria, HR Manager, and Victor Cespedes, Quality Engineer, spoke about skill development, the recruitment process, and the mutual advantages for both students and the company. Additionally, Alejandra Hernandez, HR Manager, offered valuable advice and reflected on KEMX's positive experience with the program.
