Jul 10, 2024, 00:00 by Madison Sternberg
Global Equipment Services Vietnam celebrated World Environment Day last month by hosting a contest that challenged employes to reuse and reengineer obsolete materials and create a whole new purpose for them.

Teams of employees utilized unused materials from the company's projects as well as from everyday life, such as wooden boxes, wire cores, wires, and foam to create their work.

Through the review and scoring of the competition jury, the final first prize went to the Manufacturing and Human Resources team who created a recycled bookshelf. Second place was earned by the Quality Assurance-Procurement-Finance-Information Technology team for their creation of a safety cover for a laser machine and LED light source for a microscope.
