A new way we would like to support our employees is through the implementation of employee-driven, voluntary Employee Resource Groups (ERG). Employee Resource Groups are also directly related to our overall Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging strategy.
At Kimball Electronics, our people are the company, and we seek a diversified group of employees who can be committed to preserving and enhancing our values as we continue to grow.
ERGs can provide an opportunity for individuals to:
• be part of an inclusive, safe space that nurtures connection with peers
• create a sense of community and belonging
• promote advocacy
• form allyships
• have fun while learning
As they continue to launch, ERGs will be organized around shared characteristics such as race, gender, disability, ethnicity, veteran status, sexual orientation, and any other personal features that society has demonstrated could create barriers and cause people to feel they are not part of an inclusive, equitable company.
