Kimball Electronics Poland Donates $9,000 to Ukrainian Refugee Children

Kimball Electronics Poland recently donated $9,000 to send Ukrainian refugee children to the Baltic Sea for a much-deserved summer vacation.

Last year, one way to celebrate our company's 60th anniversary, our locations around the globe were each given $1,961 to donate to worthwhile causes in their communities.

In 2022, we decided to "kick it up a notch," this time dividing $50,000 between all Kimball Electronics locations to donate, at their discretion, to worthwhile causes in their communities. The amount of money allotted to each location varies mainly based on its employee count.

Kimball Electronics Poland (KEPS) donated its $9,000 allotment to a program headed by their local city (Tarnowo Podgorne) government to help cover a seaside vacation for Ukrainian refugee children who escaped the war and sought shelter in the Tarnowo Podgorne with their families.

Tarnowo Mayor Tadeusz Czajka detailed the much deserved trip this way: "During the summer vacation, our Ukrainian friends had the opportunity to acquire new friendships and get to know our culture better. In a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere, they spent the summer vacation days, at least for a while, forgetting the trauma that had befallen them. The program included such attractions as swimming in the Baltic Sea and sunbathing; a trip to the Pomerania amusement park in Dygowo; games and integration activities; fun, friendly competitions; and campfires. The trip was a big attraction for these children, while also catching their breath and taking a break from the war trauma."

KEPS' $9,000 donation is one of many ways our company and employees are helping Ukrainian refugees.
