To spread the message of environmental protection to all employees and especially children of GES employees, GES Vietnam held a painting contest with the theme focusing on the future of the environment. "The contest attracted more than 40 young artists from age of 3 to 14. Through the contest, the children not only showed their painting talent but also expressed their views on environmental protection. Their pictures were displayed and voted on by company employees to choose the best pictures," says Thu Nguyen, Admin Senior Executive. Displays of art contest entries can be seen in the image above. Participants were awarded crayons, plus the top 10 young artists in each age group were given small pots of green plants to raise awareness about the significance of plant life to a healthy world.
To promote battery recycling, GES Vietnam held a used battery exchange day. "Batteries can be hazardous to the environment if not handled properly. The company will handle the used batteries properly. The activity attracted enthusiastic participation from the staff, and we collected more than 15 kg of used batteries. Hopefully with the activity, GES Vietnam has contributed our small effort to environmental protection," says Thu. Employees were given prizes in exchange for the used batteries.
